The world’s first bi-directional CAN Bus interface from Directed Electronics is here. Unlike competing products, Directed’s CAN1 does remote control windows (and much more) Bi-directional communication on the CAN Bus lets Directed’s system function seamlessly, allowing the aftermarket security system remote controls to operate factory security, and the factory remote to operate the aftermarket alarm. It also includes a time-saving T harness, providing plug-in connection to virtually any Directed system. CAN1 installs quickly and cleanly between the CAN bus and the Directed security system, to provide 2-way digital communication between the security system and the vehicle. CAN is already the most widely-used bus architecture in European vehicles, and the U.S. automakers are beginning to adopt it as a robust, error-resistant platform. Functions controlled by CAN1 include, Lock and Unlock, Factory alarm arm and disarm, Windows open and close, Trunk release, Driver’s priority unlock. Additionally, CAN1 can turn the Headlights, Parking light flash, Hazard lights and radio on or off. CAN1 can also read the engine speed and brake pedal and provide outputs for use with aftermarket remote start systems. •CAN1 comes with a universal harness and a T-harness that will allow CAN1 to plug into most Directed systems with a 12-pin main harness. Due to its overall size, weight and/or fragility, this item must ship via a freight service. The standard freight delivery is a curbside service. This means that the driver is required to remove your item(s) from the truck, but is not required to assist in moving your items any distance. Upon delivery to a residence, the driver will move your palletized items to the edge of the truck with a pallet jack, cut through the plastic strapping and shrink wrap and then hand the individual pieces to whomever is accepting the delivery. It may be necessary to have someone available to help you move your item inside upon arrival.Our Shipping and Handling charges include the packaging of your items for freight transit, long-haul transportation costs, Residential Delivery fees (if applicable) and Liftgate services as needed. |
